General info : Colombe Marjolaine Annabelle Pringle (born April 19, 1948 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France) is a French journalist of French-English origin. She is the daughter of novelist Flora Groult and Michael Pringle, a British banker. She made her debut in media as a trainee on the show "Dim Dam Dom" (a women's show on French television) and subsequently works at a styling agence "Agence Mafia" (advertising and communication) from 1968 to 1971 In 1971 she joined Elle magazine as a trainee in the fashion department before becoming a reporter. She then became Associate Editor of Elle from 1982 to 1986. She also covered for three years the Cannes Film Festival for Le Film Français . Colombe was the editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris from 1987 to 1996. Later she served as senior reporter at L'Express before being the editorial director of the Maison Française decoration magazine from 1996 to 2003 where she succeeds Claude Berthod. In January 2004, she became editor of the weekly Point de Vue, a position she held till December 2013. From September 2013 until June 2014, she was a columnist for La Nouvelle Édition on Canal+. From her first marriage with Philippe Royer, she has three children, Éloi, Adrien and Merry Royer. From her second marriage, with Jean-Pierre Mahot de la Querantais (died in 2003), she had a son, Melchior.
