General info : Geert Stadeus (born August 25, 1964, Ghent, Belgium - died November 27, 2021, Ghent, Belgium (aged 57)) was a Flemish journalist and (screenplay) writer. Uitgeverij Manteau published his novel Een hond genaamd Sibelius (A dog called Sibelius) in 1990. He has since written for various media, as a journalist, screenwriter and humor provider. Since 2003 he has been editor-in-chief of Snoecks almanac. He wrote articles for Menzo, Humo, Panorama-De Post, Maxim, Het Laatste Nieuws, De Gentenaar/Het Nieuwsblad, De Standaard, Muziek & Woord and Snoecks. He co-wrote the book ‘De Vlaamse canon: een aanzet tot’ and published ‘Het hoe en waarom van de Antwerpenaar’ and ‘Het hoe en waarom van de West-Vlaming’. He contributed to television programs such as De Slimste Mens Ter Wereld (TV1/Eén); De Rechtvaardige Rechters (Canvas); De Rechters (Canvas); Zap! (TV1); De Mannen Van De Macht (Canvas); In Alle Staten (Canvas); Nieuwe Maandag (TV1) and Linx (VTM). After a bicycle accident in Heusden he went into a coma from which he never awoke and died in UZ Gent.
