Art Young is a DC Comics editor who co-founded the Vertigo imprint.
He was an editor during the early years of Vertigo. Active years of work for DC/Vertigo was during 1988 to 1995. Art Young was set to be the editor of Disney's Touchmark comics. Touchmark was a line that Disney announced before the "Disney Implosion" in 1991. With Touchmark never coming getting a chance to be created, both Art Young and the attached properties where acquired by Karen Berger and DC Comics to help launch the Vertigo Imprint. Titles acquired by Touchmark were: Enigma, Sebastian O, Mercy and Shadows Fall.
Art Young would help launch the Vertigo Imprint with editing series like Animal Man and Hellblazer along side mini-series such as Enigma.
Tank Girl and its Vertigo related titles were associated with Art Young. | |
