Smith is the daughter of FedEx founder Frederick W. Smith and the sister to Windland Smith Rice, a photographer, and Arthur Smith, the current head coach of the Atlanta Falcons.
Her company, Black Label Media LLC, founded in 2013, has entered into a production alliance with Lionsgate. She runs the firm with Trent and Thad Luckinbill.
She got her first production job at Alcon Entertainment, a company backed by her father.
