| General info : | | Alejandro Urdapilleta (born March 10 1954 in Montevideo, Uruguay - died December 1 , 2013 in Buenos Aires, Argentina (aged 59)) was an Argentine-Uruguayan actor, screenwriter and writer, who spent part of his career in Argentina.
He won seven awards for his performances: four ACE Awards for his role as Polonius in Hamlet (1991/1992), for The Lightning (1995/1996), for Lunch at Ludwig's and for Mein Kampf, Farce (1999) . /2000); a Martín Fierro for his portrayal of El Seco in Tumberos (2002) and an Astor Award for Best Actor for his performance in the film Adiós, querida Luna.
He passed away at the age of 59, on December 1, 2013, due to stomach cancer. | |
