| General info : | | Sergio Herman (born May 5th 1970 in Oostburg, Netherlands) is a Dutch chef .
He inherited his love of cooking from his father who he remembers as a passionate chef. After graduating from Ter Groene Poorte culinary school in Bruges, Sergio gained experience working in the kitchens of anumber of toprestaurants in The Netherlands.
Soon after, Sergiobegan working with his father in restaurant Oud Sluis in Sluis (Zeeland), later taking on the role of head chef. During his time at the helm ofrestaurant Oud Sluis, Sergio has helped the world-renowned dining roomgainthree Michelin stars and a place onSan Pellegrino’s prestigious World 50 Best Restaurants list.
In December 2013, Sergio announced the closure of restaurant Oud Sluis in order to concentrate on his other restaurant conceptsPure C and La Chapelle, later renamed The Jane, as well as his culinary publishing house, Minestrone.
Later he would open several 'Frites Atelier' in Amsterdam, Den Haag, Utrecht, Arnhem and Antwerp.
