General info : | | Disco Press was the business name of Disco Press BVBA, a Belgian manufacturer of vinyl records, founded in 1974, initially named Disco-Press PBA and later renamed to Disco-Press BVBA in 1985.
The company was located in Nieuwerkerken till 2004 when it relocated to Herk-De-Stad.
In 2011 it was declared bankrupt.
It was headed by André Willems and from 2001 to 2011 it was the only remaining pressing plant in Belgium.
André Willems, once an engineer for Rocco Granata’s Cardinal Records, started the place back in 1974. Discomat has been pressing vinyl records non-stop ever since.
In 2013 an existing company Discomat BVBA changed its adress from Zomergem to the same address in Herk-De-Stad and activity restarted under the new name and with Andrés son, Tom Willems, as manager. | |
