General info : Home Software Benelux B.V. was a Dutch distributor of video games. The company was established in 1984 by Harry van Horen who started in the industry in 1983 and headed up Homesoft for 10 years beginning in 1986. Funsoft acquired Homesoft in August 1994. In 1998 Funsoft decided to concentrate on the German market and was acquired by THQ. All affiliates were sold. From 1999 to 2001 the company was owned by GTInteractive, a US public company, bought by Infogrames/Atari in 2001. From 2001 to 2002 the company was owned by Cryo, a French public company.
