General info : Charles B. Slackman (born in 1934 - died 29 May 2015, New York, USA) was an illustrator who contributed to Playboy magazine in the 1960s. Other magzines he worked for include American Heritage, Look and MAD. He has illustrated numerous books, including work by authors Shirley Jackson and Kurt Vonnegut. Slackman is known for a tight pen style, incorporating a good deal of hatching and cross-hatching. He taught at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, and co-taught workshops with R.O. Blechman, certainly a duo that were opposite in styles.
