General info : François Damiens (born 17 January 1973, Uccle, Belgium) is a Belgian actor. He has appeared in more than thirty films since 2000. Damiens studied international trade at the École pratique des hautes études commerciales (EPHEC, in Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe), but eventually ended up in programs with hidden camera, ans ended up as a comedian and an actor in the audiovisual sector. He has already been nominated twice for a César for best male supporting role: in 2011 for the romantic comedy L'Arnacœur by Pascal Chaumeil and in 2014 for the drama Suzanne by Katell Quillévéré. For L'Arnacœur, he was also nominated for the Magritte in 2011 for the best actor in a supporting role. Damiens was also elected chairman of the Magritte film jury in 2015. In the same year he was nominated for the César for best actor for his role in the tragicomedy La Famille Bélier by Éric Lartigau. Damiens was honored in 2011 in the French Order of Arts and Letters.
