General info : Bettina Zimmermann (born 31 March 1975 in Großburgwedel, West Germany) is a German model and actress. She has appeared in more than sixty films since 1999. Bettina Zimmermann is the youngest of three siblings. She first attended the Realschule Burgwedel and graduated from the Leibniz School in Hanover in 1994. During her private acting training in Hamburg she worked as a model. After engagements in commercials for Vodafone , Lycos (Comundo) and WMF, among others, she got her first role in the cinema production Fisimatenten in 1998. The actress works for German television productions for private broadcasters such as RTL or Sat.1 as well as for public television stations such as ZDF. She acted in various television plays, e.g. as Angélique in the historical film Das unbezähmbare Herz. In addition, she appeared as a supporting actress in various German cinema productions. In 2009 she played co-investigator Franca Capari alongside Uwe Kockisch as Commissario Brunetti in the television series Donna Leon. With her partner, the actor Kai Wiesinger, Zimmermann shot the web series Der Lack ist ab from 2015 to 2018. Wiesinger directed there for the first time and wrote the screenplays. The couple lives in Berlin with Wiesinger's two daughters from his marriage to Chantal de Freitas, who died in 2013, and Zimmermann's son, born in 2008, from his relationship with cameraman Vladimir Subotic. At the end of 2015 the first child of the two was born.
