General info :
Paul Bellaart (born in 1969 in Leiden, Netherlands) is Dutch photographer.
He studied at the Royal Academy, the Hague, being a succesful drop-out in ‘95… and has been travelling and working since, for a wide range of editorial and commercial clients.
Paul Bellaart’s worked for media and brands including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Burberry, Herme`s, and Universal Music.
In his new project, titled Last Year’s Nest, Bellaart presents a series of still lifes and nudes. The protagonists might be characters in a Sofia Coppola movie: strong individuals who are not afraid to show their vulnerability and who, in Bellaart’s abstract black-and-white shots, roam lush summer landscapes.
He is married and father of three.
Paul lives and works in Amsterdam.
