Ricardo Gomes is a photographer and creative director from Portugal, currently based in New York City. He grew up on the island of Madeira (Portugal) and decided to leave everything behind at the age of 17, determined to pursue an adventure. He is known for his ongoing collaboration with Madonna and his featured work includes: Sex Pistols, Glen Matlock, The Stooges, James Williamson, Pete Doherty, Patti Smith, Doja Cat, Honey Dijon, J Balvin, Ye, Arca, amongst others. His work has appeared in GQ, Another Magazine, Rolling Stone, i-D, Numero, and Business of Fashion, Re-Edition, Highsnobiety, V Man, CR Fashion Book, Players, and Interview Magazine. Ricardo released his first photographic book, Playground, with Bookmarc in 2018. In 2021, Ricardo made is directorial debut with Madame X, Madonna’s tour film, which was nominated for an MTV Music Video Award for Best Long Form Video. Currently he leads creative direction for Players magazine alongside Carine and Vladimir Roitfeld, bringing together sports and fashion Commercial clients include Burberry, BLK DNM, Dolce & Gabbana, Kiko Milano, Willy Chavarria, Zadig & Voltaire, Paramount+, and Live Nation
