General info :
Tijdschriftenhandel Noord BV was a bookshop and publisher of magazines in the BDSM genre founded by C J M Schackmann (Cor). Publications included magazines such as Zweep and Massad.

Around 1960 C J M Schackmann (Cor) owned a second-hand magazine and comic shop (together with partner Hugo) under the name “Tijdschriftenhal Noord” at Zaagmolenstraat No. 14 (also known as 12-14) in Rotterdam. The shop had a wide assortment of sex magazines.
For a considerable time, there was also a branch at 1e Middellandstraat No. 110c. Hugo left the company in the mid-1970s.
As of November 1980, the business, by then under the name “Tijdschriftenhandel Noord BV”, moved to Zaagmolendrift No. 35-41.
In the 1990s, the company was managed by SY van Neerebos-Schackmann, presumably a daughter of the founder. The business
Tijdschriftenhandel Noord BV went bankrupt in 2007.
