Maaike Neuville (born August 16, 1983 in Leuven, Belgium) is a Belgian theater and film actress, film director and author. In 2005, Neuville obtained the title of Master of Dramatic Arts from the Studio Herman Teirlinck. After her studies, she appeared in the theatre in Rendez-Vous, Miss Moskou & De potloodmoordenaar (by Hanneke Paauwe, art centre Villanella) and Stukken (theatre Tg STAN ). Together with Michael Pas, she developed the project Frulla Baas for Jeugd en Muziek, a music education project in which Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is discovered through his letters addressed to his cousin Frulla Baas (Maria Anna Thekla). Her first film role was a lead as Charlotte in De Indringer (The Intruder) ( 2005 ). This was followed by Ik omhels je met 1000 armen (I Embrace You with 1000 Arms), Gevangen (Captured), Droomtijd (Dreamtime), and Of Cats & Women. In 2009, Dirty Mind was released, in which she plays the role of Kiki. In 2011, she appeared in the film Code 37, based on the television series of the same name. In 2012, she was Elke, one of the four friends in Weekend aan Zee (Weekend at the Seaside) . In 2010, she made her directorial debut with the short film *Terug weg* , starring Katelijne Damen and Frank Vercruyssen. The film is about the impossible love between a man and a woman. That same year, she also appeared nude in the music video for Tom Helsen's single *Faithful*. In 2013, her second short film *Sonnet 81* received the debut prize at the Leuven International Short Film Festival. On television, she had supporting roles in the drama series Katarakt and De Smaak van De Keyser on Sunday evenings on Eén. In 2009, she played the role of shop assistant Anke Reyniers in the tragicomic series Van vlees en bloed, and had a guest role in Witse. In 2010, she appeared as Naomi in De Rodenburgs and also had a supporting role in Dubbelleven In 2012, she played a leading role in the VTM series Clan as Rebekka, the youngest of the five sisters. In that same year, she also landed a major nude role in the international co-production Goltzius and the Pelican Company by director Peter Greenaway. Neuville debuted in 2023 with the novel 'Zij', and "De stormen" was published in March 2026. Maaike Neuville is the younger sister of Elke Neuville , TV producer and co-founder of production company De Chinezen . She is married to Bas Devos . Together they have a daughter, born in 2015.
