Giovanni Iovane is a curator and author of books on art and professor history of contemporary art.
In 2025 he was named President of the Accademia di Belle Arti in Firenze.
In 2018 he was named Director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan.
Since 2000 he is Professor of History of Contemporary ArtAcademy of Fine Art at Brera, Milano.
He is an alumnus from the Università di Roma where he graduated in Italian Literature in 1982.
He resides in Milan, Italy.
