General info :
L.T. Piver is the brand and business name used by L.T. Piver SAS, a French perfume house founded in 1774.
The business was originally founded by Michel Adam as "La Reinde Des Fleurs" in 1774 in Paris.
In 1805 Pierre-Guillaume Dissey (nephew of Michel Adam) and Louis-Toussaint Piver take over the business and rename it to "Dissey Et Piver". Together with their spouses an array of new products such as soap, creme and eau de toilette, is launched and three boutiques are opened in Paris, followed by boutiques in London, Brussels and Barcelona in 1817.
In 1823; after the death of Pierre-Guillaume Dissey, Louis-Toussaint Piver becomes the sole owner of the company.
After being struck by severe illness Louis-Toussaint Piver had to sell the business to his friends Messier and Amavet in 1832.
In 1837 Alphonse Dissey and Alphonse Piver, nephews of Louis-Toussaint Piver, take over control again.
By 1867 L. T. Piver had become the biggest perfume house in the world with over 120 boutiques around the globe.
In 1881 Lucien-Toussaint Piver, son of Alphonse, takes over. He would retire in 1898 and leave the management to Jacques Rouché and his nephew Nocard. Jacques Rouché would run the business untill 1940.
He was succeeded by Thierry Godilliot until Rhone-Poulenc takes over the company in 1972.
In 2021 Nelly Chenelat takes control over the company and leads into the current decennium.
