General info :
Jan Friese (born in 1976 in Mülheim an der Ruhr, West-Germany) is a German photographer.
After Peter Lindbergh told him that he was already a photographer and didn’t need to assist him, Jan decided to study Photography at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. Numerous publications in magazines such as Architectural Digest, Tempo, Zeit Magazin, Playboy, SZ Magazin, brand eins, and Sleek brought him to the attention of Intersection Magazine, which combines cars, fashion, design, and art.

Following a long-standing collaboration with Intersection, Jan attracted the interest of the global automotive industry enabling him to shoot campaigns for brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Opel, Audi, Lamborghini, and MINI.

Alongside his professional work as a photographer, Jan is also a teacher of Art and Theatre at a German grammar school.

He lives in Berlin and in the countryside of Brandenburg.
