Terry Tsiolis (born in 1969 in Montreal, Canada) is a photographer.
He was born in 1969 in Montreal, Canada, where his Greek parents had immigrated years before.
He attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City where he studied photography and film. After graduating, he began his career as a freelance photographer working for various magazines and advertising campaigns.
In 2004, Tsiolis was awarded the International Center of Photography Infinity Award for Applied/Fashion/Advertising Photography. Since then he has gone on to win numerous awards for his work including a Cannes Lion Award for Best Cinematography in 2008.
He became well known for his collaborations with fashion magazines like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair. He has photographed musicians and actresses such as Rihanna, Margot Robbie and Jane Fonda as well as the most famous models in the fashion industry.
In addition to his photography career, Tsiolis also works as a director creating music videos for artists such as Rihanna and Lady Gaga. He has also directed commercials for major brands such as Nike and Adidas.
He lives and works in New York, USA.
