General info :
WEA is the acronym of Warner Bros. Records , Elektra Records and Atlantic Records.

In 1975 WEA Italiana SpA was founded ,based in Milan, in order to publish and distribute both the American catalog and the recordings of Italian artists, both with Warner Bros. Records (using the Warner Bros. WB logo, for artists such as the New Trolls, Mia Martini a.o.) and with the WEA brand (Loretta Goggi, Sammy Barbot a.o.).

Although mainly managing the record label WEA Italiana, the company also marketed the Warner Home Video film catalog in the 1980s.

In 1989, after the acquisition of Compagnia Generale del Disco, the company merged into Warner Music Italy together with Warner Bros. Records .
