Richard Norton (born on December 17, 1970, Adelaide, Australia) is an actor, known for Water Rats (1996), Home and Away and Neighbours.
Richard Norton played Simon Fitzgerald in Home and Away from 1991 to 1992. Before making his Home and Away debut, he had made 99 appearances on Neighbours.

After working as an actor in local productions, he landed the role of Ryan McLachlan in Neighbours. He appeared on Neighbours from 1990-1991. He then joined the cast of Home and Away. After his character was written out, Richard's career took him to the other side of the world.

He moved to the UK and later appeared in three episodes of British soap Brookside and in an episode of long-running police drama The Bill. By now, he had begun working in British theatre productions. This was largely behind the scenes, where he worked as everything from a stage technician to a roadie to an events manager.

Since 2015 he has been Production Manager with the Welsh National Opera and is based in Cardiff. He married actress Shelley Miranda Barrett (now Shelley Norton) in May 2002.
