General info :
Lumivision Corporation was an American company active in the (home) video distribution and artwork design.
They used their logo for the first time in 1988, probably the date the company was founded.
CEO & President from 1988 to 1998 was Jamie White who describes the company as a laserdisc company, building up an exclusive catalogue of over 225 high quality titles on laserdisc (feature film, documentary, animation, classic television, education, fine arts and music). It also had the distinction of being the first software provider to release movies on DVD for worldwide sale in 1997.
In 1998 Lumivision Corporation, released what it claims is the first film on DVD that uses all eight available audio tracks in Dolby Digital 5.1, Africa: The Serengeti.
Lumivision specialized in animation, classic cinema, cult films, educational features, fine arts, and titles originally filmed in IMAX.
