Alfredo Arturo Castro Gómez (born 19 December 1955, Santiago, Chile) is a director of theater, a scriptwriter and an actor of theater, television and Chilean cinema.

After finishing high school, he entered the Department of Theater at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Chile, where he graduated in 1977.
He traveled to London in 1983, with a scholarship from the British Council, to continue his studies at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
In 1989 he received a scholarship from the Government of France and specialized in theater direction in Paris, Strasbourg and Lyon.
He returned that same year and founded the theater company La Memoria. Unfortunately, due to lack of income it had to close doors in 2013.

He worked as a teacher and assistant director at the Theater Academy of Fernando González.

He separated in 2008 from actress and theater designer Taira Court.
