Notes :
Kannibaalikirja - Kirjoituksia Ihmissyönnin Historiasta (The Cannibal Book - Writings on the History of Cannibalism), written by Artemis Kelosaari, is the first Finnish non-fiction book on cannibalism. It seeks to answer the question of what has driven people throughout history to eat other people – and why cannibalism is so fascinating that it has been depicted in art and entertainment for centuries. Following the trail of cannibals takes us from the ancient cultures of the Americas to the rainforests of Papua New Guinea, from shipwrecked sailing ships to communist dictatorships, and from 1920s Germany to early 21st century Tampere. The book also deals with related characters from horror fiction, such as Hannibal Lecter and Leatherface.
