VARIETAL COMPOSITION
70% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon,
10% Cabernet Franc & 10% Petit Verdot

VINEYARDS
45 ha (111 acres) on a clayey-chalky brows dating from the quaternary era. The vines are 35 years old average with a density of 8.500 vines per hectare

HARVEST INFORMATION
Grapes are mostly handpicked, collected in small crates and sorted manually in the cellar

SUSTAINABLE FARMING
Leaf-plucking & shoot thinning
Green harvesting (one grape per cane)
Laying a permanent or punctual vineyard cover crop creating large canopy area to allow good aeration
Sustainable treatments and amendments

WINEMAKING
Cold pre-fermentation in stainless steel tanks
Maceration between 40 and 45 days at 28ºC
Maturation in new oak barrel on fine lees
Malolactic fermentation & lees stirring in barrel
Maturation on fine lees, Diatomites Earth filtration

OAK AGEING
Aged during 12 months in 100% new oak barrels (90% French oak and 10% American oak)

Drunk this in 2019 and still was going strong! Will keep throwing high eyes for at least five years. 9,3/10
