Les Allées de Cantemerle is a consistently supple and elegant wine for young drinking. It doesn’t need long aging in the cellar: the wine can be appreciated now for its full freshness and a delicate, pleasant fruitiness.
The wine is charming, evoking notes of coffee and wild flowers. The 2012 vintage was a demanding one for the winemaker, but is prized for its fine tannins, low acidity and subtle aromas. Les Allées de Cantemerle is the very model of an apparently simple wine with great softness, whose pleasures may be enjoyed almost without moderation…

Opened this one in 2016 and that was clearly too late: nose was very closed - and probably there was not much left to open - and taste was pretty flat, lacking complexity. A pretty watery experience. Will certainly not get better by aging.
