| Notes : | | Tatsuo Endo was the second actor in the series to portray the grizzled, grey-haired Yagyu Retsudo. In the first film, Sword of Vengeance Retsudo was portrayed by Tokio Oki. In the final two films, Baby Cart in the Land of Demons and White Heaven and Hell, he was portrayed by Minoru Ohki (wearing an eyepatch).
Tomisaburo Wakayama took over as producer of the series from his brother, Shintaro Katsu, though the films remained with Katsu's production company, Katsu Films.
Buichi Saito took over as director from Kenji Misumi, who directed the first three Baby Cart films as well as the fifth in the series, Lone Wolf and Cub: Baby Cart in the Land of Demons. Yoshiyuki Kuroda directed the final entry in the six-film series. | |

| Description (by producer & GT in English only) : | | Baby Cart in Peril sees Itto Ogami being hired to hunt down the killer of a group of samurai. Much to his surprise, he finds that the culprit is a young woman, Oyuki. She has sworn revenge on the clan that defiled her and won’t stop her killing spree until she reaches the man responsible for her shame. As he learns more about her past, Ogami is torn between his duty and his growing sympathy for the deadly maiden.
Baby Cart in Peril is a memorable entry in the Lone Wolf and Cub series, thanks to the strong presence of the Ogami’s female opponent, the abundantly tattooed and highly skilled Oyuki. | |
