It started as a fanzine in the early 1990, and became a more professionally made and distributed magazine in 2004. The magazine's paper version was quit in 2012 due to decreased sales and a quarter of subscribers not paying their subscriptions. After a break from being published in paper form, Miasma later returned on paper in a fanzine-style format. | Suuri Kurpitsa is a Finnish comics magazine or fanzine. Its first issue was published in 1981 as an edition of 300 copies. Alongside comic strips, the magazines feature comics reviews, articles, adverts, and some music-related content. After 43 numbered issues, the magazine started to get published as annual magazines (or albums), which feature a year on their cover instead of an issue number.
While initially a magazine, Suuri Kurpitsa later became a comics publishing brand that took up publishing comics albums as well. | |
