General info : | | Kymberly Ellen Herrin (born on October 2, 1957, in Santa Barbara County, California, US - died on October 28, 2022, in Santa Barbara, California, US (aged 65 )) was a model and actress.
She was of mixed French, Swedish, and Filipino descent. Herrin graduated from Santa Barbara Senior High School in 1975. She was the Playmate of the Month in the March 1981 issue of "Playboy". She attended Santa Barbara City College from 1991 to 1994.
The model was featured on the cover of Playboy’s September 1982 and September 1983 issues. Herrin served as Playmate of the Month for Playboy’s March 1981 edition. In addition, she modeled for other clients such as Ralph Lauren and "FIT" magazine (she also did fitness and swimwear ads).
She also appeared in movies, including her memorable part as the Dream Ghost in 1984’s “Ghostbusters” - notably in an infamous, sensual scene with Dan Aykroyd’s character Ray Stantz - and in “Romancing the Stone”.
She is additionally remembered as one of a handful of models who strut their stuff in the music video for ZZ Top’s hit song “Legs.”
She was appropriately cast as a Playboy Playmate in Beverly Hills Cop II (1987). She made a guest appearance on an episode of Matt Houston (1982).
Herrin passed away peacefully in her home in Santa Barbara, California. A cause of death has not been revealed, but the family asked for donations to the American Cancer Society in Herrin’s honor “to further the research of the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.” | |
