| General info : | | Corpset is a death metal band from Tampere, Finland, founded in 2009.
The band originally formed under the moniker Chakra in 1998 in Oulu by Jari Kelloniemi and Tommi Määttä. Chakra made two demos and few public appearances, but the line-up broke up as the players moved around the country. In 2004 Jari moved to Tampere in and met guitarist Jani Heikkala and they started to rehearse and write songs together. In 2006 they found drummer Timo Hanhijoki and in 2008 vocalist Antti Murtonen. The group recorded their first full-length album in 2009 and started using the name Corpset. | |
