| General info : | | Aineen Taidemuseo (English: The Aine Art Museum) is an art museum and a centrum of visual culture. It is ran by Aineen Kuvataidesäätiö (English: Aine Pictorial Art Foundation), which was founded in 1974.
The permanent collection of the Aine Pictorial Art Foundation represents Finnish visual arts from 1814 to today. The emphasis is on the Finnish expressionists from the beginning of the 20th century and the Prisma-group from the 1950s and 1960s. The museum emphasizes on the contemporary art and the contemporary art from northern Finland.
The museum is located in central Tornio on the Rajakartano building. Rajakartano is designed by Tornio based architect Matti Porkka. | |
