| General info : | | William "Bill" King (born 1939, Netherlands Antilles – died 19 November 1987, New York, USA (aged 48)) was an American fashion photographer.
Born in the Netherlands Antilles, Bill grew up in New Jersey.
In the late 1970s, Bill was a regular at #Studio54. Legend has it that he photographed one of his fashion peers in “acts of debauchery” with strangers in the New York club Hurrah.
His high-energy images of the supermodel era were regular features of Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue in the mid-1980s.
He died of complications of AIDS at the Beth Israel Hospital in New York in 1987. | |
