General info : | | Valérie Lagrange is the stage name of Danielle Charaudeau (born February 25, 1942 in Paris, France), a French singer-songwriter , actress and writer.
Among her main roles in cinema, she goes from conventional academic cinema to the new wave and auteur cinema. We note The Green Mare by Claude Autant-Lara during her adolescence. Later she plays for recognized directors like the French Jean-Luc Godard, Philippe de Broca, Claude Lelouch, Jacques Deray, Michel Boisrond, Roger Vadim, Nadine Trintignant, Philippe Garrel or more recently, Emmanuelle Bercot.
As a singer, then singer-songwriter, she crossed the Yéyé period of the 1960s then moved towards a more pop-rock style. At the very beginning of the 1980s, she began a more rock career and achieved popular success with her song "Faut plus me la faire", which was accompanied by a critically acclaimed album.
