| General info : | | Jean-Placide Mauclaire (born May 8th 1905, Paris, France - died May 1966 (aged 61)) served as Publishing Director of French magazine Cinémonde during the 1950s.
In 1928 he was the founder of "Studio 28" the first avant-garde cinema whose aim is to devote itself exclusively to cinematographic research.
Jean-Placide was also a producer, known for Les trésors de la mer Rouge (1955), Week-end chez les nudistes (1952) and Vingt minutes sous les mers (1954).
