General info : | | Surf Film is an Italian company founded by Massimo Vigliar in 1982. It operates in the sector of film production and distribution worldwide, increasing, each year, its catalogue, which counts over 600 films.
Many of the titles epitomize the greatest productions of post-war Italian Cinema, such as: ‘La Ciociara-Two Women’, “Matrimonio All’Italiana-Marriage, Italian style”, ‘Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’ by Vittorio de Sica; ‘A Special Day’ by Ettore Scola, and many others. The list also contains unforgettable pieces of European Cinema such as ‘Contempt’ by J. L. Godard, and ‘Quiet Days in Clichy’ by C. Chabrol.
The last feature film realized as producer was ‘Gorbaciof’ with Toni Servillo, directed by Stefano Incerti, which received excellent critics at the 67th Venice Film Festival and competed at the 35th Festival of Toronto.
