General info : | | Antoinette Beumer (born August 2, 1962, Amstelveen, Netherlands) is a Dutch director.
Beumer graduated from the Amsterdam Theater School in 1989. As a director, she was involved in various projects. Thus she directed the television series, 'Hertenkamp', 'Spangen' and Willemspark (comedy for VPRO youth). As a backup director for Willem van de Sande Bakhuyzen, she was involved in his last feature film 'Ik omhels je met 1000 armen' (I hug you with 1000 arms).
In 2006, together with Heleen Dankbaar, she founded her own commercial production company, Het Kantoor.
2010 saw the release of 'De Gelukkige Huisvrouw' (The Happy Housewife), Beumer's debut film based on Heleen Royen's best-selling novel.
Soof was released in 2013 and had an international release in the United States in 2014.
Antoinette Beumer has two children with director Joram Lürsen, and is married to director Maaik Krijgsman.
She is a sister of actress Famke Janssen and actress / scenario writer Marjolein Beumer. | |
