General info : | | Mikko Kustaa Kilpi (7 November 1928 Sippola, Finland – 6 September 1991 Heinola, Finland) was a Finnish poet and editor.
Kilpi worked as the publishing editor of WSOY from 1952 to 1965 and as the publishing manager of Tekniikan Maialma from 1966 to 1969. He translated a large number of works, including art literature, into Finnish. The nature of Lapland was an important theme for him in his poems. In many of his poems, he cultivated diction and gentle irony.
Kilpi was married to the writer Eeva Kilpi from 1949 to 1966. They have three sons. | |
