| General info : | | Christa Fast (born 6 April 1942 and died 1 June 2006) was a German actress and backing vocalist residing in the southern outskirts of Cologne.
She was the longtime companion of German record producer and musician Conny Plank.
She worked at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen and appeared as stage actress in Celle, Krefeld, Frankfurt, Bonn and Cologne, and as a puppeteer in New York at the Bread and Puppet Theater.
After the early death of her husband Conny Plank in 1987 at the age of 47, she and their son continued to run the studio.
By working with musicians and bands such as Can, Ultravox, Eurythmics, Kraftwerk, Brian Eno, Cluster, Ideal and Gianna Nannini, she made contacts with the international music scene and this developed the close friendship with Annie Lennox and Annette Humpe.
When her failing health and the general change in the music business forced them to offer the studio for sale in May 2006, Christa died the next month on June 1, 2006. | |
