| General info : | | Alexandre Zouari is the eponymous brand name used by French hairdresser Alexandre Zouari, a reputed name in the world of hair styling.
He worked for the most celebrated and international clientele, including Carla Bruni – The former first lady of France, Elizabeth Taylor and Shirley Bassey, just to name a few.
His creative hairstyles have graced pages of many prestigious magazines such as Vogue and l’Officiel, as well as fashion shows of famous designers such as Hermès, Moschino and Gianni Versace. Not only has he elevated hairdressing to a higher level, he also ventured to design jewellery, sunglasses, scarves and hair accessories.
In 2008, Alexandre Zouari created the first line of luxury hair accessories with his creative vision in hairstyling. In the same year, Zouari also made his first steps into the publishing industry by launching French lifestyle magazine, “Blush”, which covers the luxurious lifestyle of the French elite and the latest fashion trends in France.
Since 2008 the brand is licensed for 20 years to Hong Kong based Shiamas Ltd., a family group that distributes major brands such as Hermès, Baccarat or Lalique on the Asian market.
In the 1990s, Shiamas Ltd. was established to focus on the designer apparel market in Hong Kong, and spin-off companies of both Shiatos and Shiamas were also set up in Taiwan, as more sole agent contracts were secured from well-known French, German, Italian, Japanese and American brands.
In 2012 the French company Alexandre Zouari SAS, founded in 1954, was liquidated.
As of 2021 Shiamas Ltd. has taken over the trading operations of all the luxury brands within the group. | |
