In 2000 he won a Best Short Film of the South - Honorable Mention at the Namur International Festival of French-Speaking Film for Course De Nuit.
In 2006 he won the Grand Jury Award at the Asia-Pacific Film Festival, and the Asian New Talent Award at the Shanghai International Film Festival, both for Song Trong So Hãi.
In 2010 he won both the NETPAC Prize and the Bronze Alhambra, a Special Jury Prize, for Choi Voi.
For that same movie he won the FIPRESCI Prize at the 2009 Venice Film Festival. | |
