Van den Begin studied at the Studio Herman Teirlinck but never completed his studies, just like actor Filip Peeters, who was in the same year as him. Van den Begin has appeared in numerous Flemish television series and films in leading, supporting, or guest roles.
In addition, he directs, writes screenplays, and is involved in theater. Van den Begin often collaborates with the Belgian actor Stany Crets, who is also his best friend.
In 2010, Van den Begin appeared together with his dance partner Kimberly Smith in the fourth season of Sterren op de Dansvloer on VTM , where he managed to secure fourth place.
In 2025, Peter Van den Begin co- hosted the fourth season of Dancing with the Stars on VTM with Jonas Van Geel. In the finale, he showed off his best dance moves once again with four dancers at the same time. The first three seasons of Dancing with the Stars were broadcast on Play4 with other hosts.
