| General info : | | Szymon Brodziak (born in 1979 in Poznan, Poland) is a Polish photographer.
He has been wwarded as the best black and white photographer of 2019 by the website OneEyeLand.com. He was the youngest artist and the only Pole whose works have been exhibited at the Museum of Photography – Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin. The main focus of Brodziak's work is women.
An economist by training, he earned a master's degree in economics from WSB-NLU in Nowy Sacz.
He traded his job at the family wine importing company for assistance on fashion shoots and image campaigns, which are now his main focus. In 2015, Brodziak became the first photographer from Poland and the youngest artist to have his work featured in an exhibition at the Helmut Newton Museum of Photography in Berlin. In 2019, he was named the world's best black-and-white photographer .
Since 2013, he has run his own photography gallery, Brodziak Gallery, in Warsaw, which moved to its Poznan location in 2019. Brodziak Gallery, located in Poznan at 16 Glogowska Street, regularly hosts exhibitions, avant-garde meetings, and unique events. | |
