| General info : | | David-Andersen is the brand name used by David-Andersen Retail AS, a jewelry business originally founded in 1876, by David Andersen, a Norwegian goldsmith (25 May 1843 – 3 August 1901).
For over 145 years, David-Andersen have been designing and producing jewelry in Oslo. Under their own brands David-Andersen, Camilla Pihl and Jenny Skavlan, David-Andersen offers high quality pieces for all occasions. They also sell jewellery by other well-known designers and brands like Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, Georg Jensen and Efva Attling.
In 1999 Kristin Gjelseth, the fifth generation of David-Andersen, takes over the majority of shares and buys out her relatives. Kristin is involved in both operations and design, and is a major driver for the development of the Classic collection, which is today one of their most iconic designs.
