Rodriguez was born and raised in New York and trained as a dancer throughout his childhood before graduating from LaGuardia High School.
His family is from the Dominican Republic.
He brings his considerable background as a dancer to his work as a photographer through the exploration of the human form distorted through motion. Rodriguez puts bodies in dialogue with found materials, reshaping and repurposing them relative to their surroundings.
Before getting into photography, he worked professionally as a dancer for fifteen years and trained for ten years before that.
In 2017, he was one of the winners at the Hyères Festival for Fashion and Photography.
He worked for magazines such as Vogue US, Vogue Paris, i-D, Dazed, a.o.
He later moved to Berlin, Germany.
