General info : Christiane Winning (born 26 December 1961 in Kassel, Germany) is a German mezzosopran singer residing, who performs solo and in several formations. Her repertoire includes music from operetta, pop and pop music to songs from jazz, swing and blues. She started her career in 1987 as a singer in the "Blues Big Band", a 16-headed Rythm & Blues-Formation, which became famous at major jazz festivals in Germany and abroad. Other bands include: the "Bohemia Jazz Swing Band", the pop rock Latin band "Genuine Paris" and "More & Co." In the mid-1990s she became one of the lead singers of Shaun Vargas's "Three Sides of a Coin" group, with whom she still plays successfully. In addition to jazz, blues, rock and pop, Christiane Winning is a lyrical soprano. That is why she sings today with the Residance Orchestra Cassel and in small artistic programs with other artists.
