General info :
Vaucluse IGP stands for Vaucluse Indication Géographique Protégée or Protected Geographical Indication (PGI).
The IGP is one of the three European Union schemes of geographical indications and traditional specialties (the other two being protected designation of origin (PDO) and traditional specialities guaranteed (TSG), to promote and protect names of quality agricultural products and foodstuffs, in this case from the Vaucluse area.
The Vaucluse is a department in the southeast of France, named after the famous spring, the Fontaine-de-Vaucluse.
It is located in the south of the Rhône wine region in Southern France.
