Play It Again Sam, abbreviated to PIAS, is a brand name and music label used by Play It Again Sam BVBA, PIAS Group BVBA, two Brussels based companies offering services for licensing, distribution, sales & marketing of music, film & comedy.
It is also used by the UK division Pias UK Ltd. located in London and founded in 1992.
Play It Again Sam BVBA was founded in 1989 by Kenny Gates and Michel Lambot, a duo that started the music business in 1984 from their basement in Brussels.
Today they operate operate 16 global offices.
They have played a role in campaigns for artists like 2ManyDJs, Adele, Agnes Obel, Alt-J, Aphex Twin, Arctic Monkeys, Editors, Eels, Faith No More, Machine Head, Milky Chance, Moby, Muse, Nick Cave, Oasis, Pixies, Sigur Ros, Strokes, Texas, The Gossip, The Prodigy, The War On Drugs, Tom Waits.
