Montres Etoile is a brand name of Montres Etoile SA, a Swiss jewelry and watch manufacturer founded by Stefan Hafner, an Italian jeweller of Swiss descent.
Based in Bologna, Italy since the 1960's, Hafner's award winning designs are sold worldwide through fine jewelry salons.
Etoile launched its first watch and jewellery line in 1986 and is based in Genève, Switzerland.

At that time, most watches were of very traditional concept.
Etoile longed to free its design from conventional restraints and imposed its very own style by creating sumptuously worked wrist watches, blending the erudite geometry of Islamic aesthetics with flowing art déco designs.
