Francis De Smet (born 3 December 1963, Brugge, Belgium) is a Belgian film producer working closely with director Jan Bucquoy.

He studied scriptwriting at Brussels university (U.L.B.) and made his breakthrough with the Belgian movie, La vie sexuelle des Belges 1950-1978 (1994).

Other credits include Camping Cosmos (1996) with Lolo Ferrari; The Closing Down of the Renault Factory at Vilvoorde Belgium (1998) with Louis Schweitzer ; La Vie politique des Belges (2002) with Benoît Poelvoorde; Les vacances de Noël (2005) with Yolande Moreau.

He headed Transatlantic Films CVBA, a Belgian film distributor founded in 1991 located in Brussels. As of 2022 their website is down.
