General info :
ELSPA was the brand name used by the Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association, a video game content rating association.
ELSPA was founded in 1989 to establish a specific and collective identity for the British computer and video game industry.
From 1994 to 2003, ELSPA focused on video games that were released in the UK, but did not receive a rating of the British Board of Film Classification.
ELSPA distinguished four age groups:
3–10
11–14
15–17
18+
later on simplified to:
3+, 11+, 15+ and 18+.
In 2003 PEGI (Pan European Game Information) was launched and ELSPA became reduntant so they switched switched activities to "protect, promote and provide for the interests of all its members, as well as addressing issues that affect the industry as a whole through:

Also, ELSPA was responsible for the London Games Festival and the Edinburgh Interactive Festival.
